Nestled in a charming, vintage-style building, this coffee shop offers a cozy, community-focused atmosphere reminiscent of a college town living room. Known for friendly service and a menu featuring standout items like cinnamon rolls, white mochas, veggie wraps, and coffee blends, it invites patrons to relax indoors or on its smoker-friendly outdoor terrace. Open late, it’s ideal for studying, board games, or casual hangouts, though outdoor seating can be noisy and smoky. While parking may be tricky and prices slightly above average, the welcoming vibe, ample seating, and unique, homey decor make it a beloved local spot for many.

Stop waiting from an Americano and traffic after a haircut. I'm glad I did it because I love this little place. It feels like an old spoon when you enter, but it looks like a turn of the centuries-old Ranch-style house (and I think it could be just that). I ordered a veggie wrap and Americano. The veggie wrap was very good and came with a Caesar salad. The American was also very good and went easy. The girl at the counter was very pleasant and made sure that she got my order right and even confirmed that I knew that flavored syrup was a few cents extra. I have read some of the reviews about this place and I agree to most negative comments. McClain is not an upscale, untouched coffee house. It's an old building and doesn't try to be anything else. It is cozy with some old furniture, but very comfortable and has plenty of space and space. There are also many seats and tables in front of the building. Parking can be a bit difficult, but if you go back there are some places and there are many parking spaces in the residential area on North Street. I'm sure people complain that it's too expensive, and it wasn't cheap. But in my experience, compared to the large chain coffee sites, small coffee houses are quite always more expensive. He wasn't different. I definitely come back.

One of the few really classic community coffee houses around that really make you feel like you're in your own home with family and friends. This is the place to go to if you really want to feel a college town atmosphere with students and community coming together to get delicious comfort foods of all kinds, hot or cold. It provides a safe space where you can study online, in a Craftsman like living room with comfy seats lounges from that era, while meeting up with friends, or hangouting with your young married family, bringing your well mannered children who can play cards with you, while others study, smoking in comfort socializing outside, getting into their special interest, whether that be playing cards, gaming, or just quietly reading a good book.

I visited some friends in the area and decided to try a coffee muffin. I was quite pleased with both and liked it so much that I returned the next day before leaving the city. The two young women serving me were friendly and accommodating. There are some outdoor seats available, but it’s quite noisy from the traffic and the car wash across the street, so I found the comfy indoor seating to be a better choice. Also, take a moment to check out the bathroom—it’s cleverly decorated!

This place is fantastic, especially if you're looking to hang out late with friends. We often come here to play board games or study. The owner is very friendly, as long as you make a purchase, which is to be expected. The atmosphere is wonderful, and both the coffee and food are excellent. I highly recommend the cinnamon rolls and the white mocha with whipped cream!

This is definitely the only coffee shop within a 20-mile radius that has a smoker-friendly terrace. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, and the vintage interior is charming. It mainly attracts a college crowd, and it stays open until 3:00 AM, though it sometimes closes earlier at 2:00 or even 1:00 AM. The atmosphere is respectful, but keep in mind that non-customers are not welcomed, so it’s best not to bring anyone who isn’t planning to buy something.
