We've eaten at some very special and renowned restaurants around the world, but this was absolutely one of the most wonderful, memorable ever. It was recommended to us by some other foodies we know well, so we asked for a reservation. The restaurant was not quite scheduled to be open for the season, but as it was my husband's birthday they graciously started early. From the moment we entered the hotel until we literally floated out on a cloud a few hours later, we were treated with class and style and grace to one of the most creative, wonderful meals we ever had. Head chef Martin Göschel and his crew prepared one lovely dish after another and each was presented in such a whimsical, elegant style that even The French Laundry looks pretty simple in comparison. Exquisite!
