The best part: We were quickly greeted and seated, with our drink order taken immediately. The waitress was very nice, efficient, and friendly with a smile! The menu was large, with many dinner choices. Our waitress gave us a few extra minutes to decide, then took our orders. Our meals (for 3 people) all came out as ordered, served on hot plates. We were not very pleased with our dining experience tonight. My dish was overcooked, and it took a while for the staff to check on us so I could request a replacement. Unfortunately, the second version was also disappointing. The food didn't taste as good as it usually does at Tapatio. It felt like someone in the kitchen was not skilled at their job. Visited on Cinco de Mayo. Amazing service, food, and atmosphere. The portions were huge.. I had three meals out of the Carne Asada plate.
What an exceptional delight. We stopped to go to the nearby Colorado Welcome Center, only to note the Tapatio sign. Living in San Diego California, we're picky about good Mexican food.Immediately walking in, we good smell that familiar Mexican food smell, that satisfies the senses. The restaurant is well decorated and might I say, charming and warm. The staff friendly. Chips and salsa were brought to the table, we knew right away that these are home made. The salsa fresh and delicious, however for us we asked for and got a hotter salsa that was green in color. Amazing flavor.I had the taco and enchilada combo, and my wife had pork Carnitas. Just like San Diego perfection, this restaurant rocks. A great place to stop off if on your way East or West on I-70
Love to go for their buy one get one free beers during happy hour (3-6 I believe) and they're Mole sauce is the best I've ever had. Perfect end to the day after rafting when I take out in Fruita, and honestly just whenever I find myself in Fruita. The prices seem high, but the portions are HUGE so 100% worth the prices.
Certainly the best Mexican sit-down service restaurant in Mesa county! It's always busy, busy never a wait! The staff is friendly and prompt. We go here often and have never been disappointed! We love the food!!! It's a place where no matter what we get, we love it. I order different items every time, and sometimes everything looks so good and I'm so hungry, I tell the server to surprise me. Amazing food! Highly recommend.
Something for everyone.. from spicy to no spice. Absolutely fantastic.
