Description

Perched just off Highway 90 near Missoula, this cozy log‑cabin bar‑grill is a locals’ gem for hearty breakfasts, burgers, and arguably Montana’s best chips and salsa. Friendly bartenders and servers, generous portions, local beef, craft cocktails and a dog‑friendly outdoor deck with scenic views make it a favorite roadside stop. Classic bar interiors, quiet gaming, and reasonable prices suit families and road‑trippers, though occasional cigarette odor from an outdoor trash area can mar the otherwise warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Without a doubt, this place has the best chips and salsa in Montana! The bartender was incredibly friendly and attentive to all our needs—I really wish I had caught their name. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck, taking in the breathtaking view while snacking on chips and sipping on expertly crafted cocktails. I can’t wait to try more dishes from the menu in the future! It was truly a 10-star experience!

There aren't many lunch options on a Sunday along Highway 90, so we were pleasantly surprised to discover the Alcan Bar Grill right next to the gas station. We chose to sit on the outdoor deck, which was clean and dog-friendly, and the service was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The interior has a classic bar atmosphere, but the sign outside suggests it's also family-friendly. The only downside was the strong smell of cigarette ashes whenever the outdoor trash can was opened.

The ranch dressing and French fries here are definitely the best I've ever tasted! I love the cozy ambiance and the small, intimate setting. The friendliness of the staff and patrons makes it feel just like a home away from home!

Gem of a diner right outside of Missoula. We had breakfast here...the biscuits and gravy, and the eggs and meat (with toast and hash browns). Definitely a locals joint. Very reasonably priced and huge portions.

Friendly service and patrons too. Stopped here on our way home to Oregon and got some tasty bites and beer. It was a refreshing stop with a warm atmosphere. I have to say thank you!
