Like you walked into you Great Aunt Hilda's house for a family supper, but in the best way, meets homey pub. Several brat options, potato dishes, saurkrauts, spaetzel (like a noodle meets a dumpling, delicious), a few dessert cakes, wines, beer. Decent vegetarian section. My favorites were the potato patties, spaetzel, and mushroom gravy. Will be returning to try the goulash. Vegetarian options: Most sides are vegeta... View all feedback.
What Misty McBeth doesn't like about German Café:
Show me fresh... A waitress told a customer that they made homemade bread right there then she went to the kitchen put a piece of a store bought bun in the microwave and told the customer it was hot and fresh. Johnsonville sausage yeah I can buy my own for way cheaper View all feedback.
Today was the second time I’ve been here. The first time we saw our server once the entire visit and the second time, we waited 5 minutes to be seated and the server we had ran the whole restaurant. We made sure to leave her a well deserved tip. The ambiance is wonderful but the food is mediocre. I gave it a second chance but there won’t be a third.
Wirklich gut! I liked it a lot. The jagger schnitzel and potato pancakes were great! Our server Sadie was wonderful, but seemed stressed out. There were other people working there, but they were not helping her and she had a lot going on. It is a cute place and feels like your German grandma’s kitchen. Unfortunately, They do not have enough bathrooms.
Food was great and so much that you could not eat it all!
Order their salad it was made with canned carrots, canned green beans, but it did have good red cabbage. Nothing to write home about.
