Wassup Dog Gourmet Hotdogs - Fremantle

Nice small local place run by two hard working blokes. Easy to read menu and truly one of the best sausages I have ever eaten. I tried to order a beer but they don't have a license however he said I could nip down to 7-11 and bring my own beer... cool idea and very fair of him. I had the chilli jelly hotdog... I could hardly finish it, super good.

Wow! The food here is sensational. I have been once with my partner and once solo and the food is always amazing :) LOVE the fries - and the staff are super friendly and considerate

After a brief day tour of Fremantle, I repaired to this restaurant for a quick bite, before heading back to Perth. I ordered "The Frenchman" gourmet hotdog, which was graced by soft slices of Camembert slowly getting even softer over the hot sausage. Beside this fancy dog was a pile of French fries, which was flavorful but a tad too oily. I paired this with orange juice and I was set!

Wassup Dog has brought the loaded hotdog to town in classic hipster style. I've seen these dogs on social media and they've looked great. Every taste is catered for here and even the drink selection is better than your standard eatery. I love that more places are open to vegan options. They can even sub the meat sausages with the vegetarian option if you wanted to expand your offering. The dogs came with a helpful serving of home made fries and sauce. Like my title suggests, these dogs are loaded... be prepared to get messy! But hey, isn't that what you expect from eating a genuine hotdog? The restaurant is hipster chic with rough timber booths and touches so you can feel drawn into the atmosphere. I would love to see more range for my tastes (but I suggest talking to the guys here, they may even help out with what you're after). Definitely worth a try!

We stopped into this interesting looking cafe for lunch. We had a gourmet dog and a meatball dish. Both were huge and very, very yummy. Great value and very friendly staff. Wish we had one of these at home, we would be regulars for sure.
