Chogajip - Fremantle

Loved the food here! The bibimbap was marvellous and the waitstaff were lovely. Don't miss it, if you are into Korean!

Living in Fremantle I've been here a few times in the past but hadn't come in a while. They've changed the menu to add in a mixture of Japanese and Korean dishes. I came here at night with my dad for dinner and we stuck to Korean. We had deokbokki and large mandu for starters which were both really tasty - having been to Korea I found it hard even there to find good deokbokki in restaurants that tasted as good as the cheap street stalls - Chogajip's certainly filled that void in my life haha.We both had different types of jjigae - seafood and pork. Both were really nice - I'm not much of a meat fan let alone pork but I ended up with the pork jjigae because the broth is so nice!It's really sad they're not as busy as they could be since not many people go there compared to elsewhere in Fremantle. I'd highly reccomend checking them out as the service is so friendly and from the first time I came over a year ago the food has improved so much too. I'm yet to try something from the Japanese dishes but if the Korean ones are all delicious, I'm sure the Japanese ones aren't far off too! They've got a wide range from self grilling BBQ to vegetarian options so it's great for everyone. And the pictures on the menu outside really doesn't do the meals you're served justice - they're so delicious.

We were not sure to eat and I have special dietary requirements. The staff here was fantasy. Five star service, ambience gets a four and food was great but not mind blowing. Will definitely try it again if I get a chance to go to Fremantle. Thank you

Whilst in Fremantle had to have lunch in this little gem of a restaurant. Service was friendly and the girl put us on a table in front of the aircond (It was another hot day in Fremantle). After perusing the the menu we chose our meals and drinks. Service was prompt and within minutes our drinks were at the table, we were asked if we were sharing our meal and a serving dish of veges was placed on our table. Within 5 to 10 minutes our meals that we ordered were at the table. Both meals were fantastic and as others have said the pictures on the menu at the front are nothing on what comes to the table (The pictures do an injustice to the menu). The meals was magnificent and extremely tasty and there is enough to feed the most hungriest person. The prices are very reasonable. I have eaten at this restaurant several times and I'll definitely come back again.

Don't be put off by the terrible menu pictures - the food is sooo much better than that. Share the plates and enjoy a great Korean feast.
