One of my favourite places for seafood. Second time we've visited to order their seafood platter for 2. The seafood is always beautifully cooked and tastes sensational. Service and staff are top notch friendly and attentive.
If you plan on eating here, try to get in early around 6:30pm as it tends to get busy after 7. The first time we visited at 7:30, it took close to an hour to receive our food. Last night we arr... View all feedback.
The place offers traditional Italian food and they're located at Fremantle cappuccino strip. The service is friendly and the food portion is quite substantial. We ordered Penne Arrabiatta which the pasta cooked al dente and has a bit of chilli kick to it. The Benny's ribs was good too and we particularly like its BBQ sauce on the ribs. The other dish we decided to try is their Scallopini Boscaiola which is the veal with cream sauce which also is quite tasty. I have to say, there's no surprises as this is definitely a traditional Italian restaurant. Overall, our quick lunch was enjoyable and we will be back to try other dishes on the menu.
Decided to try Benny's on Saturday night due to their menu having something for every taste. We arrived at 19.30 half expecting to be turned away for being too busy but thankfully they squeezed us in. I was already starving so decided on a hearty choice of the barbecue ribs, coleslaw and chips. My boyfriend said I would probably regret this decision as because this restaurant was an Italian, they may not do this meal very well. It took our meal probably 45 mins to come out as it was so busy and while I ate all of the meal I didn't love the flavours of the meat. The slaw also tasted like sweet flavoured lemon. That being said the ribs were extremely tender. The surf and turf I understand to have been delicious! By 20.45 the place was transformed into a very busy bar and so was difficult to carry a proper conversation over dinner. Great atmosphere for a drink however and good live band.
I really like this Italian restaurant. For some reason I wasn't expecting it to be true Italian and more "modern" Italian but I was proven wrong. Very nice set up for a couples - we had a cute little table with couches and a candle - and it wasn't overly loud. I imagine it's nice to sit on the street too when it's warmer. The Arancini were amazing - usually I am doubtful when there's a lot of sauce (thinking they're trying to hide the quality) but in this case it worked so well and we scooped every ounce of the sauce. The Duck Ragu Parpadelle and Involtini were fantastic and great portions. And my oh my the Molten Chocolate Cake was divine! Service was fantastic - very polite staff (I appreciate being asked if I want more water before having an arm cut through my space).
