Despite having a four-month reservation as hotel guests, we were seated at one of two standing tables (70x70 cm) with bar stools for dinner. Although we were offered the option, we were refused a change of location. Consequently, our interest in a three-course meal dwindled to nothing. The food and drinks offered were what one would expect in a restaurant of this category. P.S. A question about the decor: Throughout Germany, even closed fireplaces are legally required to be shut down. How is it possible that in environmentally conscious Baden-Württemberg/Freiburg, an open wood-burning fireplace is blazing in the dining room? Apparently, different rules apply to environmentalists after hours.
The outdoor area is absolutely beautiful! Spacious, well-maintained, bathed in sunlight, and nicely divided into sections. The service is outstanding! Mostly young men who are courteous, quick, friendly, competent, and understanding – they do a fantastic job. A minor hiccup with the salt on the asparagus was immediately rectified with a fresh portion. The white wine, as well as the red wine with the filet, was excellent and perfectly complemented the chosen dish. The prices are naturally quite high, but you get exceptional quality for your money. Parking is available in front of the property. The hotel itself is also inviting with its elegant ambiance, but that's for next time
I spent two consecutive evenings at the Cross Over restaurant in Reinach Castle. Both evenings were successful, but it was the second menu that truly deserved five stars. On the first visit, the sirloin steak for the main course was okay, a bit tough and just right for someone who prefers medium-rare. The vegetables were also a bit too salty. The appetizer and dessert were good. The second visit, however, was an absolute highlight. The sea bream for the main course was excellently prepared, tender, perfectly flavorful, and beautifully presented. Instead of a sweet dessert, I had the cheese platter, which was simply sensational. The selection of cheeses was perfect, accompanied by roasted and pickled black walnuts and a sweet fig jam. With a matching red wine, it was the perfect treat. I would particularly like to emphasize the service. On both days, it was attentive, friendly, and always courteous, without being intrusive. My conclusion: While the menu on the first visit was solid, it was today's experience that justifies my five stars. Culinary delights at the highest level combined with perfect service.

We tried the menu at the Crossover restaurant and received friendly and attentive service. Unfortunately, the menu wasn 't convincing in terms of content and seasonality. With temperatures over 32°C in mid-August, dishes like soup for the starter, venison for the main course, and warm chocolate cake for dessert seemed rather inappropriate. The starters tasted good, but the vitello tonnato was not very visually appealing, and the miso soup was actually more of a cream soup. In the main courses, the fish was unfortunately overcooked, and the side dishes seemed very autumnal. The meat was not asked for its desired doneness, and it was a bit overcooked for our taste. The cheese and dessert were good, but the raspberries were from the freezer, and the ice cream wasn 't homemade. Overall, an evening with good service, but the culinary quality unfortunately fell short of expectations and had significant seasonal weaknesses.

Beautiful ambience, very friendly staff, delicious food and also a high-quality vegetarian or vegan offer.
The same food was sometimes very different in the amount of dishes and cooking classes of meat, although ordered completely the same (medium). This was very bad and results in a noticeable depreciation with all 8 of us. Basically recommended, however.
Very nice ambience, we had a table right next to the fireplace. The services were very attentive and have tried very hard. The food (we had appetizer and main course) was good, the portions were absolutely sufficient.
Lightly larger portions would be desirable. Otherwise everything was good.
Very average menu at very above average price. Wine map top selection relatively moderate prices There are significantly better restaurants at significantly more friendly prices in the immediate vicinity

We had reserved an interieur that was promised. unfortunately we have a table at the entrance. through that was always movement through the arriving guests.
After my assessment we were very satisfied. the environment was up, and it was excellent. we will be back!
Ordered an eating plate for 2 persons, we have received two dish dishes (quality=cantine, quantity=less), and has taken forever, all those who came after us were served before, service without empathy, for that with kinen instead of mouth protection. each eckkneipe has more on the side of the side of the side of the side of the valley, they had to change. only ambiente is not enough!
Beautiful location, very friendly and attentive staff. a great creative kitchen and it has tasted excellent. highly recommended
As always it was wonderful to sit in the garden of the castle. The new concept of the restaurant goes very well with the ambience and the food is always great anyway
