Reviews summary
A small-town diner blending clean, friendly service with hearty, home-cooked comfort food and an acclaimed selection of pies and cakes. Prices are budget-friendly and portions generous, with ample parking and convenient Sunday hours. Recent touch-ups have freshened the space, though offerings lean toward fried/bar-style dishes and occasionally suffer inconsistent execution — reheated sides and overcooked poultry have been reported. Overall it’s a welcoming, casual stop for locals, travelers, and families seeking classic, affordable meals with standout desserts.
Was suzzy gonzalez at Raider a mag?
My boyfriend Tim and I aren't from Freeport, we rented a cabin in the area for the weekend. We ate at Raiders one afternoon and enjoyed it so much that we went back for breakfast before heading back home. We really enjoyed the great food with that home-cooked touch. We were served perfectly cooked, large portions. The staff is very friendly and care about their customers, greeting each as they entered, checking back... View all feedback.
What Anthany Krebs dislikes about Raider:
well, this is one of the few restaurants that are available in this small town. that being said, they could use more fresh items on their menu and less deep fried or what I would consider bar food. View all feedback.

The service and food were outstanding. The portion sizes were just right, and the prices were reasonable. However, the coffee could use a bit more strength.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was excellent, and the service was top-notch. I really enjoyed the chicken bowl!
This is a fantastic spot to visit on a Sunday after church. The staff is friendly, there's ample parking available, and they stay open until 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.

This used to be one our favorites . Now I won't be eating in Freeport, some of the worst food I have had i.e. Reheated potatoes, chicken dark meat leg, theigh cooked till the chicken would not know what it was.but cole slaw was good. Payed 18.00 dollars for two of these so called meals.
The restaurant is consistently clean, and the staff is always friendly. The food is excellent, and the prices are affordable. Be sure to try the cake; they offer a fantastic selection of the best cakes in Ohio. Don't be swayed by the negative reviews!
Always clean, staff is always friendly. The food is very good and the prices are low. You absolutely must try the pie. They have a wide selection of the best pies in Ohio. Do not believe these negative reviews.
This used to be one of our favorite places, but now I won't eat in Freeport anymore. The food was some of the worst I've had. The potatoes were reheated, the chicken was dark meat, and the thighs were overcooked to the point where they were unrecognizable. The only good thing was the cole slaw. I paid $18.00 for two of these so-called meals, and it was definitely not worth it.
