Reviews - Evolution Grille
Reviews summary
Locals praise this cozy, inviting spot for homemade, fresh and affordable comfort food — standouts include pierogi, alfredo, crab cake, pot roast and house desserts. Attentive servers, family-friendly service and ample parking complement a BYOB policy and reliable takeout. However, experiences vary: some report exceptional hospitality, while others cite lost orders, extreme delays, a hair in a dish and controversial owner remarks. The current location is closing due to rising rent, but the kitchen's cooking earns repeat visits.

We dined here on a Saturday evening and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was inviting, and our server, Jessica, was fantastic. Most importantly, the food was excellent! It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully simple. I’m excited to hear they are searching for a new location and building; I hope they find the perfect one! View all feedback.

All these stars are for Jason the hostess girl and the server boy. Server woman I wouldn't take a lemonade from on a hot day for free. Go back to eat n park lol
This place is amazing. It's not far from where my family lives and I can't believe we didn't know about it sooner. You can tell that all the food is homemade and it is delicious. Standouts were the pierogi and zucchini appetizers, alfredo pasta dish, crab cake sandwich, stuffed pepper soup, and hot sausage sandwich. We actually ordered a quart of the soup to take home. My sister had the strawberry chicken salad and said it had was more chicken than expected, which I have never heard before. I had the hot sausage sandwich, which was a bit of a gamble for me since it's something I've had regularly for decades as my own family makes homemade sausage, and it was also delicious. Had cheesecake and creme brûlée, both made in house, for dessert, also outstanding. Also, one of the few places where prices are still extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. Unfortunately, after being in this location for 10 years, we found out that their rent has become astronomical, so they're closing in October. Go before that happens. You won't be disappointed.

An hour and a half passed, and we received excuses about the restaurant being busy and our food still not being served. Finally, the waiter informed us that the kitchen had lost our order. To make matters worse, the waiter tried to bring us a third bread basket while the second one remained untouched. After two hours had gone by, we requested to speak with the manager, but the owner came out instead. We ended up leaving with our food in to-go containers and received a $25 gift card that I doubt I will ever use. The service was simply atrocious. And when we finally had a chance to eat the food, I found a hair in the pasta. It was incredibly disgusting.
The owner heard about speaking politics, with very discouraging language. I was shocked that he was so proud that the garbage came out of his mouth. I feel that politics should be left out of work because there are many different people who use your facilities, and possibly not because of your hatred towards others who do not agree with you. Never back!
The food and service here are consistently excellent. Keep in mind that this isn't fast food, so don't expect fast-food prices!
