What Tinina L dislikes about Backyard Barbeque:
We ordered so much food from this place and although we've been here once before (years ago) a lot has changed. Last visit, i loved the baked beans this time i didn't enjoy them at all. The mac n cheese was actually better this time and the potato salad was very bland and just okay. The fried fish was extremely salty! Too salty to enjoy. The collard greens, yams, fried shrimp and buffalo wings were good. There were a... View all feedback.

I always have a great time at this restaurant because of the friendly staff, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and upbeat music. That's why I keep coming back.
The restaurant needs to improve. There was no one at the door to greet us, and when we were finally seated after a 20-minute wait, we were completely ignored for another 20 minutes. It was disappointing to see only two people handling everything on the floor. They either need more staff or should limit the number of customers they serve.
I recently had my graduation party at this restaurant with a group of 14 people. Unfortunately, the customer service was extremely poor. Two members of our party were left without chairs and we almost left after placing our order. The service was incredibly slow, taking almost 45 minutes just to receive our drinks. The male waiter was very rude and unhelpful when we pointed out errors in our order. The food was mediocre and the drinks were disappointing. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant.
I came here for a bday brunch on a Sunday, food was great, service was good. This is a black owned establishment and I love the food and culture it represents. Try the lemon pepper wings OMG crispy like Korean fried chicken and seasoned so well. Also had the salmon and grits from the brunch menu. Salmon cooked to perfection. Some other dishes my family had was the shrimp and grits (so yummy) and the steak and eggs. On Sundays there's a selected menu for brunch. They play great music and unlimited mimosa specials. I've also been here to try the regular bbq menu items one friday.. drinks were great and everything we tried was also amazing (buffalo fried shrimp, rack of ribs, more wings, empanadas) highly recommend if you're on the mile or in long island in general looking for some good bbq food which is a rare offering in long island.

We first learned about Backyard Barbeque from recommendations from friends. After dining at the restaurant, we decided to have them cater a big backyard party at our house. They cooked up a delicious feast for over 40 adults and 30 children. Our guests raved about the honey BBQ wings, smoked ribs, macaroni and cheese, and grilled seasonal vegetables. Chef Kenny impressed us with his expertise in using our smoker. We highly recommend their food and catering services.
Today, my family and I visited Backyard Barbeque. The food was fantastic! We enjoyed everything and highly recommend this restaurant. Food quality: 5 out of 5.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food and service were both excellent. I ordered a full rack of ribs, cole slaw, and mashed potatoes. The portions were generous and I ended up bringing leftovers home because I couldn't finish everything. My daughter enjoyed her BBQ wings and seasoned fries as well. The corn bread could have been a bit sweeter, but overall the meal was delicious. I look forward to returning to try more items from the menu in the future.
First time coming here after I saw them on instagram. The food is amazing!! The smoked Mac Cheese is delicious!! The ribs were so good!! It is a family owned business and they make you feel right at home and the vibe is chill with great music playing. Definitely coming back.Food: 5/5

The restaurant is cozy with a family-like atmosphere. I brought my husband, dad, father-in-law, and kids out for Father's Day and it was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed a Sunday brunch with delicious food, amazing drinks, and great music played by the DJ. The staff was fun, happy, attentive, and on point. I was able to make a reservation in advance, which was convenient. I was so impressed with the experience that I had them cater a 4th of July BBQ at my house. I will definitely be returning.
I have been wanting to write a review for this restaurant. The mac and cheese at this place was amazing. It was so good that I ended up ordering more! I do wish the portions were larger, but I understand the business perspective. I visited for brunch and opted for the unlimited Bellini option. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The drinks kept flowing and the food was delicious. What more could you ask for? I will definitely be coming back! The music was great and it wasn't too crowded when we visited on a Saturday afternoon.
The food, drinks, and service at this restaurant are all exceptional! Co-owner Kenny was friendly and engaging, checking in on us regularly. The lemon pepper honey wings are a must-try, I highly recommend them! The potato salad, collard greens, and unique empanadas were also delicious. I will definitely be returning as a repeat customer.

The mac n cheese was actually better this time and the potato salad was very bland and just okay. The fried fish was extremely salty! Too salty to enjoy. The collard greens, yams, fried shrimp and buffalo wings were good. There were a lot of hits but some misses. The service was fast for all of the food we ordered. It's convenient if you need that southern flavor fix. I would go back again.
Grabbed some takeout for dinner this afternoon. Everything was awesome! The only confusing thing was the smoked chicken thigh/leg in my combo was chopped up into small pieces. I have not been here since 2018, and it seems to me they have got the fires smoking hard, I highly recommend this place!

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. I particularly enjoy their variety of wings, mac and cheese, corn bread, and 2 meat combo. Every dish is expertly prepared and seasoned to perfection.
The collard greens were overly salty and lacked any real flavor. I would suggest skipping them, especially if you are familiar with Southern greens. The mac and cheese was dry and the pasta was overcooked, resulting in a semi-mushy consistency. The ribs were also lacking in flavor. I would not recommend this place for anything resembling BBQ. Save yourself the disappointment and expense.
The portion of chicken was extremely small for $39. It was one small quarter piece.
This restaurant is Black-owned and serves incredible food. The dishes are full of flavor, generously portioned, and made with love.

This restaurant offers a delicious take-out dinner experience with an average price range of $50 to $100 per person. The food quality and service both received a rating of 4, and the atmosphere was also rated a 4. Some of the recommended dishes to try are the Pulled Pork Sandwich and the Wings.
I took my family to this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday after receiving a recommendation. We had high expectations and were excited for a new BBQ experience. The dining area was clean and had an urban decor with great music playing. The food was served on classic metal trays with butcher paper, but the atmosphere seemed to be a mix of brunch elegance and BBQ theme. The service staff was attentive and knowledgeable, but as the dinner went on, our main server seemed to become impatient, which was understandable as they were understaffed. Despite the nice decor, our table had some tears in the formica. The restaurant has great potential but could benefit from choosing a more consistent theme. The food had some hits like the yams, greens, and mac and cheese, but the brisket was unacceptable. The drinks were weak and overpriced. The mandatory 18% tip seemed to imply a lack of trust in customers to tip fairly. Overall, the experience was not worth the price of $140+. Despite our visit, we wish the restaurant the best for future customers. Service: 2, Food: 2, Atmosphere: 2. Recommended dishes: Barbecue Brisket Plate, Pulled Chicken, Fried Shrimp, Fried Chicken Wings, Wings, Cornbread.

I visited this restaurant for Sunday brunch and had a great experience. The food was delicious and the service was good. This restaurant is an important establishment in the community and I appreciate the food and culture it represents. I highly recommend trying the lemon pepper grand piano, which was crispy like Korean fried chicken and well seasoned. The salmon and geese from the brunch menu were also excellent, with the salmon cooked to perfection. My family enjoyed dishes such as the shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, and other menu items. The Sunday brunch menu offers a variety of options, along with great music and unlimited mimosas. I also visited on a Friday to try their regular BBQ menu items, which were also fantastic. I recommend the buffalo roasted shrimp, ribs, wings, and empanadas. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit if you're in the area and looking for delicious BBQ food that is a rare find on Long Island.
The best grill on Long Island! It was incredible! The Salt and Pepper Wings, Rack of Ribs, Cornbread, and Yams were all delicious. The staff was very friendly. Definitely a must-visit!
I went to this restaurant last night and OMG, the food was delicious and had such great flavors. The service was quick and the staff were all friendly. The atmosphere was fantastic, with great music playing. I am excited to go back again. Highly recommend!
Ordered for the first time from here last Saturday. My grandson wanted to take the food with me, but then I wanted to wear it. The Lord could see that it would be difficult to carry the heavy bag of food, and he went the food to my car in the crowd. I couldn't believe it. So nice of him. It wasn't on Long Island. Everything we ordered was great. Bands, pulled pig, brisket even the burger was top notch. The baked beans were the best I had. The pork or beef in them (not sure which) brought it to another level. I'll be back.
