4/27/24 update....BEST. MEAL. EVER. confirmed. And the napkins are upscaled!!! 5 stars plus. So amazing. The atmosphere has been seriously updated since my last visit. And the napkins before were seriously an issue and they now are not. The food and wine pairings are extraordinary. Possibly the best meal I have had. Just a really elevated presentation of food and wine pairings. That said, while the meal clearly is star if the show, the decor and ambience is just, well... Odd. And so odd it is distracting and undermining to an otherwise transcendent meal. The decor left me with a cognitive dissonance that still befuddles me. So just be ready to ignore it. I will over and over again as this is a dining gem in a city of culinary excellence. Reading other reviews... Agree on paper napkins? Like regular paper napkins. Just like odd. Call me and my friend and I will come do a makeover.
On the eve of Mother's Day, we were hoping for a pleasant dinner, but instead, we found ourselves in a cold, isolated room. Our server, who appeared unkempt and wore a baseball cap, didn’t inform us that the parking lot, which is part of their building, was permit-only. As a result, our car was towed, and we ended up spending over $500 that night. I strongly advise against this restaurant! When we brought the issue to the attention of the lead server and the chef, they offered no explanation and simply shrugged it off. It was quite disappointing. To top it off, the food consisted of tiny portions and was mediocre at best.
I don't understand how anyone could give less than 5 stars. I'd give 10, if I could. Took my bestie her for her birthday with no expectations and was so happy with every aspect of the experience! The people were so kind, helpful and amazing. The chef came over to discuss a bottle of wine we ordered and couldn't have been nicer. The wine was so well paired with the food. There is so much thought and care put into every part of your dining experience. We both felt so appreciated. Absolute amazing experience and highly recommend for any special occasion!
Always a great choice when friends come into town. Never disappoints! I always recommend to try the chef special, the butternut soup was AMAZING I’ve been craving it daily since dinner here a few weeks ago
The food was pretty good for the price point. The crab and corn chowder was delish. The duck and strawberry salad was tasty and the filet was cooked to perfection. My husband had the lamb which he enjoyed. Wine pairings were great for my meal. However, for a $200 dinner, I would expect to have cloth napkins at minimum. The bathroom could also use some attention.
