Sabor De Cuba - Frederick
Sabor De Cuba
Description
Sabor de Cuba offers a self-service experience with decent food, but some customers reported feeling neglected by their server. While some found the lack of flavor disappointing, others enjoyed the Albondigas and Picadillo dishes. The restaurant offers consistent and delicious food, with fresh cocktails made to order. Family dinners were a hit, with a pleasant and fast service despite busy nights. Overall, Sabor de Cuba delivers authentic Cuban food with attentive service, although some felt let down by the flavor of the dishes. It's a mixed bag of reviews, but the majority praise the food and service at this charming Cuban spot in Frederick.

The food was delicious but we showed up while they were switching shifts so everyone was a little confused about whether our order was taken or not. We sat there for a while before anyone waited on us. In the end everything turned out fine and the staffwas very friendly throughout the whole experience.
I don't typically write a bad review but I was very under-whelmed with this place. I was expecting flavor and many items we ordered were just.... disappointing. Fish was tough, plantains... tasted old, shrimp very small, needed acid and salt, the porkwas ok... the atmosphere and ambiance looked nice, but overall... idk... a lot of to be disappointed
Decent food, but this was basically a self-service experience. Our server said she would take care of us, but our table had no utensils or napkins. When I asked for napkins, she promptly took care of other guests but never visited our table again untilwe were finished with our meal. I had to go back to the kitchen myself to ask for napkins. Seems like the other patrons werebeing taken care of properly. Hopefully you will experience better treatment then we did.
First time there for mother's day and Heather made my experience incredible ?? she went above and beyond to make sure that my mother's day dinner was spectacular ????. The service was great the food was amazing, it definitely touched my roots, it tookme back to my childhood ????. The ropa Vieja was a let down they should touch up that recipe, they've got the concept but it'snot quite there. The cubano sandwich is a MUST GET!! But everything else is amazing ????. The drinks we as good as the food.Try some of thoes. We will definitely be returning to enjoy this great place. 5 ????
We came here for lunch on a Friday, and were pleased to see the restaurant was busy and the food being brought out looked and smelled great. We shared a small appetizer of the Pan con Mantequilla o Ajo (bread with butter or garlic), which was toasted nicely and had a nice amount of butter. 5/5 For our entrees I had the Bistec Enchilado (chili steak) which was marinated top sirlion sauteed in a chili vinegar sauce with fresh tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and jalapeno. It was served with white rice and delicious crispy fried discs of plantain. I really enjoyed it although the sauce was a tad too vinegary 4.5/5. My wife had the Pernil (thinly sliced citrus marinated pork shank). It came with rice, black beans, and plantains (albeit large pieces of plantain instead of the crispy fried discs I got). She gave it 5/5. We even decided to try dessert. I had the Flan de Leche which was simple but tasty 4/5. My wife had the Tres Leche sponge cake which was an easy 5/5. The service was great, and everyone working here was friendly and attentive. We will definitely return.
