Best restaurant in Frederick, in my humble opinion. The service is warm, ambience inviting and portion generous. The steak is fresh and incredible and they've got great seafood option as well, all locally sourced. View all feedback.
What J F doesn't like about Red Horse:
1st strike is it smells like mold and mildew right when you walk in. I know its supposedly an old place with history but you gotta clean that up. 2nd strike is it comes off as a upscale place, which i can tell it does have that potential or was at one time. We ordered basic stuff just to feel out the place and it was horrible. The shrimp was half raw. Found out by taste and then seeing it, probably was freezer burned too. Now the chicken for the kids was actually very good.

We went to the Red Horse with a group of 8. Everyone had a great time! Awesome place for great steaks and seafood. The service and cocktails were wonderful. We even watched our steaks being grilled to perfection! We will be back!
Ordered via door dash. Very hard to order steak online..however, I ordered a filet and it was perfectly cooked. Potatoes only needed salt and pepper, and I chose a balsamic tomato. It was so tasty.
I stopped at this restaurant passing through to D.C. Awesome place for steak ambiance ! Awesome history in this place and the staff were top notch ! I had the filet mignon my buddy had the kabob?s ! Both cooked to perfection with rich taste ! The hostess (Loraine) was super hospitable accommodating. Our waitress (Kileen) was very attentive knowledgeable about the menu ! The manager (Don, with a killer mustache) even came to our table to check on us. Highly recommend
My mother suggested Red Horse for Thanksgiving when she found out they would be open. Biggest mistake ever. Where to start? I paid $320 for 6 plates of the most average and mundane food ever. Halfway through my Prime Rib I was wondering if Texas Road House was open. The sides were bland at best. The stuffing was literally ripped up hunks of bread with a dash of seasoning. The mash potatoes looked like they were barely drained of water before serving. The culmination
