Pistarro's has a relaxed laid back environment. The staff was kind and attentive. The brick oven pizza is approximately 11 . It is very light with minimal sauce and cheese but the flavor was well balanced. I would highly recommend eating here if your in Frederick.
Though it's slightly off the main streets, this restaurant is definitely worth the detour. The food is both delicious and reasonably priced. Even during the busy evening when the place was packed, the staff paid ample attention to us and we received our order quickly. They offer a heated tent for chilly weather and outdoor tables for summer dining. The pizzas are excellent, and we really enjoyed the gelato as well. They also have draft Peroni on tap. If you’re a fan of Italian cuisine, this is a must-visit spot when you're in Frederick.
This is a wonderful restaurant where you can sit back and unwind. The ambiance is inviting and the food is delightful, but unfortunately, the service left much to be desired, which is why I'm giving it a 3 out of 5 stars. The menu is both simple and elegant, and I actually learned more about cheese from it than I ever did on Google! The pizzas are freshly baked, with just the right amount to satisfy one person. The dough is perfectly cooked and soft, and all the pizzas feature a thin crust. The marinara sauce and breads are also freshly prepared and wonderfully soft. However, the spaghetti arrived at our table before we received any cutlery, and the water was served a bit late. Additionally, there was no final call for us. Overall, a decent experience, but there’s room for improvement.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. I love their outdoor patio in the spring and summer and their cozy ambiance inside in the winter. Always get the bread appetizer (with olive oil and balsamic vinegar). Pizzas are great my favorites are thepolpettine, donatella, and diavola. My kids love coming here because they often get a ball of pizza dough to play with at thetable and the kids menu is great they even get a scoop of seriously delicious ice cream for dessert!
Pizzas were fantastic. Crust was very tasty on its own. Lots of topping options, some classics and some fun new combinations. Our favorite was the Funghi. Our salads were good, not great (although the little bread thing with the Caesar salad rocked).Next time we'll skip these to have more room for pizza! The vibe is very chill, laid back, and homey. We felt very relaxed, andour server was friendly and attentive.
