Contribute Feedback What Christina M likes about Nido's Little Italy:
Great pizza, spaghetti sauce was very good. Reminded me of my grandmothers homemade sauce as a kid. The location is not the best or I think it would have a lot more reviews and people eating here. Service was great too. View all feedback.
What Lorena B doesn't like about Nido's Little Italy:
Heard so much about the white pizza from the previous restaurant that I decided to try it. The $16 large pizza is more like a small so I'd hate to see what the small looks like. When I picked it up, the box was just sitting on a random table near the host stand instead of a warming box. I thought it was someone's leftovers until I was handed the box. Waste of time and money and I won't be returning ever. View all feedback.
Then, one day, I discovered that my beloved restaurant had changed. New management took over, and with it came gradual changes that I mourned deeply. But then, a delightful twist: I found out that the original owner from that charming Italian restaurant had opened a new place! The menu at Rafi Ristorante Italiano is just like the one I adored. Last night was my first visit, and I couldn't stop smiling, wondering if the server thought I was a little crazy, but perhaps he understood. My husband aptly said, "The world has corrected itself," as he savored his meal. The white pizza was as amazing as I remembered, the eggplant parmesan was delicious, and that marinara? Absolutely delightful—and yes, it's for sale at the front of the restaurant, just like before. Now, it’s time to create new memories!
Rafi is the original owner of the beloved Nido's Ristorante in downtown Frederick. The menu remains the same as it was at his previous location, and the food is still fantastic. I can't get enough of the red sauce—I've started buying it by the case for use at home. The Eggplant Parmesan is the best I've ever had, and the White Pizza is exceptional too. Their Alfredo sauce is simply out of this world. All the entrees are consistently under $20, and the atmosphere is delightful. This is my favorite place to dine!
This restaurant was absolutely outstanding! I was initially taken aback by the pizza, but I found myself wishing I had ordered a larger size. The Rafi platter, which included eggplant ptarmigan and homemade noodles, was masterfully prepared. The house-made marinara sauce had the perfect balance of acidity and sweetness, enhancing the overall dish beautifully. And then there was the tiramisu—so indulgently sweet and creamy! I tend to be quite particular about tiramisu, but I can confidently say that this is among the best I've ever had. Overall, this place does not deserve the negative feedback it has received from others. The creator of Nido's has truly outdone themselves once again with Rafi.
Came in for a quick lunch. Enjoyed the pasta fagoli soup, could have been a little more spicy in comparison to what i make at home but there were jars of red pepper flakes on the table to compensate. Usually I use hot sausage, this had no meat. The soup came with soft Italian bread. I noticed olive oil on the table and thought a nice addition would be some balsamic vinegar to mix into the olive oil to dip my bread in. However after asking all they had was red wine vinegar....not the same. We also split a white pizza since all the previous reviews seemed to recommend. First impression....tasted like it had been microwaved. White Pizza tasted like garlic cheesy bread from little Cesar's. It was also chewy which made me think microwaved. Was served on a plate in a pile like nachos, very suspect. Overall I'd come back only because I'm intrigued.
So, my hubby and I was lucky enough to finally have a date night in a long time. We decided to try this restaurant after realizing everything was packed for dinner (I should 've planned a little better). OMG! Where do I begin. First of all, when my husband called to check on whether a reservation was need, and if there was a dress code , the gentleman responded by saying, no, just come you 're like family. He was right! We felt right at home when we walked in. The restaurant was nestled away in a corner, and there wasn 't the normal dinner crowd waiting for the first available table. I loved the ambiance and the music. It felt like we were in Italy. The food was amazing! From the appetizer to the main course to the dessert, I was in heaven! We started with the mozzarella and tomatoes, and it was so fresh! For the main course, I had the lasagna and the sauce was incredible, and my husband had the seafood platter and I could literally taste how fresh all of the ingredients were in a huge dish. It wasn 't heavy at all. We had the cannoli and cheesecake for dessert, and it was fantastic! Overall, I was pleasantly pleased with dinner at this restaurant! Everything tasted fresh and delicious! I cannot wait to come back!
