Went for a ladies night out for a birthday. waitress was great. food was good. a few crabs were mushy and empty but we ate our share. my only complaint was that... read more Went for a ladies night out for a birthday. waitress was great. food was good. a few crabs were mushy and empty but we ate our share. my only complaint was that 2 of us had bariatric stomach surgery. can't eat alot. 6 crabs were around $27, all u can eat was $28 with just crabs and fries, which we were not gonna eat. we asked for a kids price on the all u can eat and were told no. but several weeks prior to that night they allowed our card from our dr to be presented and gave the child price. I understand we can order a kids meal or a regular meal and take home what we don't eat but the prices are $1 different for all u can eat or 6 crabs. they most certainly make the money. besides that issue. we had a great waitress, always checking on us and she was busy with several tables.

We had family in from all o... read more We cannot thank Fay, Mindy, John and all the May 's staff enough for our fabulous 'Welcome to the Wedding Weekend ' party last week! We had family in from all over the country and what a treat to experience an authentic Maryland crab feast! We had about 80 people out on the patio, but the service could not have been more attentive and personable. Our guests have been raving about the delicious food and fun, casual atmosphere! Thank you so much and we look forward to coming back when we are in Frederick! Carolyn

I recommend you get th... read more I RARELY give 5 stars; However this is one of, if not the best seafood restaurants on the Eastern seaboard North of the Mason-Dixon line! I recommend you get the platter with a little taste of everything and a whole bunch of your favoritesincluded. 1 Warning... Bring Your appetite, it takes 2 to finish! We ordered the Seafood Feast for Two to go under the, ultimately wrongful, assumption it was a seafood boil. That was our honest mistake no doubt. What made our experience sour waswhat transpired afterwards. We went back into the restaurant to express how unsatisfied we were with the untouched product. Weasked if there was a way to get our $64 back and to return the Feast. The woman then stated that there was no way to return it.Okay, that is completely fine and understandable. We then asked if she could simply give the Feast to the employees. Which we?resure they would appreciate. She declined that notion as well. She also declined the option of switching it out. An option wenever asked for. The food looked flavorless as it was. The only seasoning it had on it was clumped up old bay which graced thesides of 5 out of ~10 shrimp. The rest were plain, as with the rest of the seafood. We left without any progress. We decidedthen and there to call a different seafood location. One we had ordered from weeks prior and knew in our hearts had betterquality and put more effort into their food and placed an order. We asked for more sauce and seasoning as we knew we?d need itfor what we got from May?s. At least this restaurant was more accommodating to our needs and requests. They even provided bibsand gloves out of kindness. On our way to pick up the other order, we decided to call May?s and try to get a different result.This time with speaking to a manager. We once again explained our displeasure with the product. All the manager could say was?We?ve been in business for 31 years and have never had a bad complaint? and ?You?ll love it and won?t be disappointed?. Listen,we couldn?t care less about how long May?s has been in business and we highly doubt the restaurant has never received a negativereview. We asked ?Well, what if we are in fact disappointed??
