My first time. The flounder was perfection, and I enjoyed the crab bisque. Bartender, Frank, made a fabulous cinnamon toast martini!!
Afternoon lunch. We were greeted and seated right away. We got sautéed spinach, stuffed manicotti, baked ziti, red bell peppers and white beans (fagioli bianchi. The baked ziti was not baked in the sauce. It was tossed in tasty and slightly acidic tomato sauce with far too many thick layers of cheese. Then, it was warmed under a broiler /salamander. I couldn’t cut or chew through all the gluey cheese. The overcooked ziti was falling apart. The sautéed spinach was very dry. Some flavored oil, broth, or sauce would have helped. The stuffed manicotti was good, with a mellow ricotta filling and tasty red sauce. The white beans had the texture of canned beans, not slow-cooked. No noticeable flavors in there. The red pepper appetizer was surprisingly good. It was served cold with an herbed vinegar-oil dressing. Our server was unable to clearly describe this. We tried it anyway and enjoyed it. We did not try anything from the chalkboard specials menu. Perhaps that was a mistake.
This restaurant is very cozy, nestled on the corner of a quaint street. The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic, a perfect place for a special lunch and dinner. The service went above and beyond for our lunch and was very cordial and knowledgeable about the entire menu. The food was delicious and cooked very well and came out quickly. For parking you can park in the street or a garage nearby.
Excellent Italian food in a traditional Italian restaurant. A nice fine dining experience. Visited here for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. Food is outstanding. Service was even better. Made a reservation, but we were early and it was relatively empty when we arrived. For dinner we had the Fettucine Alfredo, Chicken Piccata (no capers as usual), Veal Piccata, Osso Buco and Braised Veal Chop. The portions were huge. They were delicious. For dessert we had the spumoni, homeade tiramisu, and the cheesecake. All excellent! Light and fluffy and hit the spot. For drinks we had Aperol Spritz, Sauvignon Blanc Wine, Chianti wine and a Chocolate Martini. Service was outstanding. Really friendly and professional. Waitress really knew how to serve wine, which was greatly appreciated. Parking is available on the street. We hade no issue finding a place within walking distance. Overall a fantastic experience. Parking: Parking is available on the side streets. There is no lot at the restaurant. It was relatively easy to find a spot within walking distance. Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant does not have steps. Large areas around tables. Restrooms are large and wheelchair compatible.
