There are fantastic options for both healthy vegan dishes and delicious junk food vegan items at this restaurant.
My mother in law lives in Frankston so we met here for lunch for her 70th birthday. It was pretty pumping on a Sunday, despite the 10% weekend surcharge. The staff were young, friendly, and efficient. I didn 't have high hopes based on the Happy Cow reviews so I played it safe and decided on a BRAT. My husband suggested we share that and one of the specials so we took a risk and ordered the lamb souva tacos. Both exceeded my expectations! The lamb was tender, marinated in tasty spices but it was a little oily. The bacon was cooked crispy some of the best I 've ever had! Salad fillings were fresh, sauces creamy and flavourful but a bit messy. The BRAT was served on a nice, soft, bubbly Turkish roll. Coffee was reasonable as well but I wouldn 't go there just for that. We shared a couple of raw slices for dessert but I am not usually much of a fan of those so wouldn 't recommend. There 's a range of groceries and sweet items and a small gift shop selling chintzy hair clips, earrings, scarves, etc a bit weird! I did enjoy eating amongst their flourishing indoor plants though. A bit hit-and-miss, depending on staffing. I’ve had a couple of decent meals here, but would avoid the following: 1. pulled shiitake ‘tacos’: two soft shells with a bed of coleslaw and pulled shiitake drowned in so much sriracha mayo that you couldn’t taste anything else. The $10 ‘picnic bar’, which was melted when I arrived home, was essentially a block of sweetened coconut oil coated in some sort of chocolate topping 2. broccoli and corn ‘fritters’ with rocket ‘salad’: burger-style patties with a rocket garnish and half an avo topped with hummus Coffee is good.
