Stray - Frankfort
Stray
Description
Tucked in downtown Frankfort, this small, cozy bar is known for live weekend music, retro 70s rock, and classic cocktails like excellent old fashioneds. Regulars praise its intimate, friendly vibe and popular nacho appetizer, while busy nights bring lively crowds and interesting company. Service, staffing and portion sizes can be inconsistent, so it’s a charming spot for casual nights or live-music lovers if you don’t mind occasional noise and slower service.

Small bar with big ambience. Kate and Sarah really work to make you feel welcome. As a bonus, live music is presented on the weekends. When I last visited, the Molly Rose band was playing an eclectic spread of show tunes, standards, jazz, and who-knows-what. It’s stuff like that that makes Stray Bar above average. As a bonus, I am told, you can bring your dog if he/she is into the bar scene. : Price per person: $20–30
