It is an experience to be a guest at Philipp Soldan. The ambience with its clear design invites you to linger. I would particularly like to highlight our service on the second visit. Our evening was made a highlight by Mr. Fynn Garthe with his friendly, open-minded manner and his courteous, impeccable service! Mr. Garthe's wine advice and presentation were perfect. The menu composition was good, but I lack some creativity for a “very good”. The service and its quality never meet the demands. A friendlier approach to the guests would have been desirable. Additionally, we were not offered wine, nor were we refilled with water, and empty glasses remained on the table. We would also like to note that, in our opinion, long artificial fingernails are inappropriate and unhygienic when handling food. It's not nice to see how a server's fingernail takes up a large part of the plate.

It certainly wasn't cheap, but it was worth every euro. The very courteous service and the very tasty food impressed us right from the start.
