What Tejasvi Pawar doesn't like about Bawarchi Biryanis Framingham, Ma:
The person who takes the call is simply unaware of the menu and suggests wrong option. For eg- without informing you that he is suggesting appetizer for an entree. Some non veg entree have options to lower the spice online but when you order in person they mock and laugh at you saying that “how can we make it less spicy? “ I mean then why options are given to decrease the spice level!? The goat dum biryani was priced at $19, which felt steep considering the quality we experienced. The flavor was average and didn't stand out in any way. Furthermore, the service left much to be desired; it was sloppy and inconvenient. The tandoori grill platter and mango lassi were the only highlights of our meal. Overall, I can't recommend this restaurant for their biryanis, although the appetizers and regular curries were acceptable. I hope they will update their website to avoid misleading customers with images of dishes they can't actually serve.
I ordered a vegetable biryani bucket, but the biryani was completely undercooked, with the vegetables being hard and lacking any seasoning. I usually don't mind if food is slightly undercooked, but this was inedible, and I ended up having to throw it away. That was $40 wasted.
The person who answered the phone seemed completely unfamiliar with the menu and recommended the wrong options. For example, they suggested an appetizer when I was looking for an entree without mentioning that it wasn't the right choice. Additionally, some non-vegetarian entrees have online options to reduce the spice level, but when I ordered in person, the staff mocked me, asking, "How can we make it less spicy?" If there are options available to adjust the spice level, why aren’t they honored in person? It’s perplexing that the staff appears to lack knowledge about their own restaurant. The service was unhelpful and quite rude; they certainly need better training in customer service.
Absolutely the best biryani I've ever had! It’s definitely worth the 30-minute drive from Boston to enjoy this! Tarak provided fantastic service as well. Edit: The roshomalai was incredibly delicious! Overall food rating: 5/5.
This is a great restaurant for Indian food, particularly for non-vegetarian lovers. Their biryanis are excellent and you definitely get good value for your money when it comes to non-veg dishes. However, I would strongly advise against trying the veggie Hakka noodles here—they were incredibly disappointing and tasted awful.
