Alright food. Place is kinda dirty.
Out of towner, looking for good food and cold beer? stay away from here. never have I ever been in a bar as gross as this one. I don't even know where to start. the food, prime rib sandwich w/ fries. the meat was dry, and the au jus that came with it was clear and smelled gross. fries were sub par..... the atmosphere, hot. very hot and sticky in the bar. smelled as if the fry grease hadn't been cleaned in months. my arms were sticking to the bar. the bar mirror was absolutely filthy. the ceiling was FILLED with clumps of dust and cob webs everywhere. the lighting is absolutely horrible, thank God because I was afraid to see what else was hiding. the kitchen looked dark and eerie, thus making it look disgusting. the people, the bartender was nice.
Beautiful old fashioned bar with yummy food and great service. Small town feel. Can tell who are the regulars. Definitely will be making another trip here.
The chef was incredibly busy cooking all on her own, which caused a delay in getting everyone their first drinks—about 10 to 15 minutes. That's understandable, but it was quite warm in there, especially since it was a hot day, and the smell of cooking oil was quite noticeable. There were many diners, so I assume the food must be good!
