This small burger/hot dog joint has been around forever. With a new owner, My dad and I stopped in to grab something to go. Our order was taken within 5 minutes, and we recieved it after another 5-8 mins. The burgers are southern style smushed buns with fresh hamburger meat, good chili. Thin burgers nontheless though. What Casey Norris doesn't like about Ronnie’s Lunch:
I ordered jalapeño poppers and didn’t even get them and I ordered a regular French fries and I got sweet potato fries which I didn’t want. And they put jalapeño on a hotdog that I only wanted mustard and ketchup. I understand a mix up but this was completely wrong. And I’m so fed up. Won’t be going back until they can learn how to hear or speak English View all feedback.
I’ve tried to eat there three time in the past two weeks. I placed a call in order and was there before they were done making it. Not only was the hotdogs cold because they cook them and let them sit under aluminum foil I guess for a while. But every single time the order is wrong. I don’t know if when they hear chili they automatically think mustard and onions, but the crowd that’s in there cooking today 9/7/22 was laughing and mess when they took my order. Then the past two times they add onions when I didn’t ask for them. I’ve lived here for over 30 years and this place isn’t even close to the same when it was Thornton’s lunch. But this crowd is by far the worst out of all the people that’s tried. Not throwing shade to the owner, because he is a busy man and relies on the people that work there to do their jobs. But good help is hard to find these days
Affordable delicious food in a great atmosphere! Highly recommend getting their hotdogs especially!!
What a place in country setting .. just love the setup in small place .. coming from town to country feels so good … food was fresh and great
