The setting itself is stunning, a beautifully restored 17th century farmhouse in the heart of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, which already makes the experience feel special before you even sit down. • The food was exceptional from start to finish. We chose the Baserri tasting menu and every dish showcased incredible local ingredients, perfectly cooked and full of authentic Basque flavour. From the charcoal grilled octopus and rich soups to the beautifully prepared tuna, steak and desserts, everything felt thoughtful, generous and of outstanding quality. • The restaurant has a real passion for the grill, and it shows in every course, especially the meats and seafood, which were highlights of the meal. • A special mention must go to our server, who was an absolute delight. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, they made the whole experience feel relaxed and genuinely enjoyable. • This is truly a must visit spot in Biscay for anyone looking to experience traditional, high quality Basque dining in a beautiful and welcoming setting.

This is high end Basque... read more I hardly ever give any restaurant a 5 star rating, but this is my favorite restaurant in the world, and trust me, I travel quite a bit. This is high end Basque food, prepared in a very traditional way. The place is hard to find, but it's worth the effort. I have posted pictures that document the experience. Do yourself a favor and try this place out!!!!

The sad part of the Restaurant is the Ownership and the Staff. We arrived 15 minutes earlier than scheduled and the Staff seemed not happy about that. We had to wait and once seated, the pre-arranged meal with wine was served like we were running to the airport. I had to ask the Server to slow down and make this experience more pleasant. There was a Gentleman greeting and seating new customers, but never approached our table and never seemed interested to see if our group was satisfied. I read good news about this place, however, the experience on that night was our worst in Basque Country, where we stayed for 10 days.

We came here with a recommendation from the hotel. We were welcomed by the friendliest stuff and had wonderful basque dishes. The deserts were also amazing. Definitely recommended.
