Bbq Shack - Fort Oglethorpe

I made my first purchase on June 8, 2022, and I had the BBQ potato, which was fantastic, along with a half plate of ribs. I had to freeze the ribs, but I ate them tonight on June 13, 2022, and they were really excellent! I definitely plan to return to the Big BBQ Shack for my next visit!

The restaurant has a great atmosphere, but I ordered six pulled pork sandwiches, and unfortunately, none of them had BBQ sauce on them, even though they were supposed to. We hadn't specified "no sauce," so the sandwiches ended up being quite dry. It's a bit disappointing.

This was my first visit, and I ordered the BBQ pork plate with beans and okra. Everything was served hot, fresh, and flavorful, which I really appreciated. The BBQ sauce, available upstairs, was delicious but not overwhelming. The portion size was about average. I noticed that they have their smoker on-site, which is a great sign of quality. I will definitely return because it's hard to find good BBQ. A few things to keep in mind: they charge a 4% fee unless you pay in cash. Also, the drive-thru window is quite high at 7 feet, so if you have a smaller car, you might want to use the walk-up window instead. Lastly, expect a wait of about 5 to 8 minutes per car in line, as it seems they prepare the food fresh to order.

Love this little hidden gem, always for your service, great food, my order has right and ready. Get the killer potatoes.

They have awesome food. I especially love their ribs. I go by there once or twice a week. So yummy!!!!!
