Recent guests reported frustrating encounters with gate access, as non-residents were initially denied entry despite having confirmed reservations. This miscommunication heightened tensions, particularly on special occasions like Valentine's Day. Once inside, diners were seated in the grill area rather than the main restaurant, resulting in a more casual atmosphere than expected. Although service was commendable and the food satisfactory, the overall experience left some feeling that it did not meet their romantic dining aspirations. Clearer communication is essential for future visits.
The food was excellent, but the service was extremely slow and disorganized. Since the restaurant is newly opened, it definitely needs some major adjustments.
Upon arrival, we were informed at the guard gate that non-residents were not allowed in and were asked to leave. However, after a phone call to the restaurant, we were granted entry. We were seated on the patio as we had made our reservation through Open Table, and were unable to dine in the main dining area. When our server arrived, they requested our account number which we did not have, causing additional confusion. The food was average, but the service was satisfactory for my wife.
My experience at Heritage Palms was frustrating due to a miscommunication between Open Table and the restaurant. Despite having a confirmed reservation, we were initially turned away at the gate because we were not members. After speaking with the dining room hostess and manager, we were eventually allowed entry. We were seated in the grill area instead of the dining room, as it was reserved for a members-only dinner dance. Although the food and service were pleasant, it was not the romantic Valentine's Day dinner I had envisioned for my wife of 42 years when I made the reservation.
It says it is open to the public on their open table listing. When we arrived the gate attendant had no clue and didn't make an effort to find out for sure and thus didn't let us into the property. The organization should either change the information on the site or let the gate know what's up.
Eating was very good, but the service was very slow and very deorganized. reopened, so needs a big tweaking.
