My husband and I had dinner this evening and it was delicious. Our server was wonderful (I missed her name! and the food was great. We had the cheese and meat board, salads, chicken parmigiana, and tiramisu and cheesecake for dessert. We will be back! View all feedback.
What H Whip doesn't like about Salmeri's Italian Kitchen:
This isn't real Italian food. The carbonara is thick Alfredo sauce. Real carbonara doesn't have cream in it. Nothing on the menu is anywhere near authentic. They should call it kinda of Italian but not really... its not even Italian American cuisine.Service was good though. Otherwise it was all underwhelming, overpriced and disappointing. There's far better places doing more authentic Italian and Italian American food... View all feedback.
The food is fantastic! Very authentic and definitely fresh. The best Caesar salad I've ever had. Highly recommend the pepperoni pull apart bread. It's very delicious.
The food here is so good! Our server's name was Corey and he was top notch! I got the Cajun alfredo sauce over fettuccine and my husband got the shrimp and lobster ravioli. Will definitely be returning!
Great place for southern Italian food. I enjoyed my favorite cocktail, an amaretto sour. I was impressed they make their own sour mix in house!!! Started my dinner off to a great start. We had focaccia and oil, so good this is a fleeting commodity...bread. We ordered 2 appetizers for the table, meatballs on polenta, which were amazing!!!! They were so good, homemade like a nonna was in the kitchen. These meatballs are legit!!We also got arencini. These were so crispy, double breaded like my mom would do. There is no meat inside, but the rice and cheese is the perfect ratio. We also enjoyed dinner, which was bolognese sauce with pasta, margherita pizza, and carbonara with pasta. We had a chocolate dessert, which was the perfect ending to our night. We were greeted nicely at the front, and we opted to sit at the bar while our table was available. The bartender was personable, and our waitress was a sweetheart and even the buser who cleared our dishes. We had a long day at work, and coming at Salmeri's was like coming home. Food and people were wonderful. Thank you all for all you do, and keep up the great quality of food. You are a gem, and we will be back soon!
We went for lunch. We started with the fried calamari: it arrived hot and crispy but would ask for the sauce to be on the side next time. The marinara and garlic aioli are on the bottom of the plate and by the end, the calamari was soggy. The breading could also use more seasoning.Caesar salad (side salad portion): it was a generous portion for $5. Dressing had a light lemon flavor which I really liked. And the homemade croutons were delicious. The Parmesan crisp at the top wasn’t crispy; it was a bit stale and chewy.Chicken Parmesan sandwich with rosemary fries: really good, especially the fries. The breading on the chicken needed more seasoning and it was a little on the burned side. The bottom of the sandwich was a bit soggy. Fries were hot and crispy.Pasta Bolognese: homemade pappardelle with a bolognese sauce that included meatballs, beef short ribs, and Italian sausage. Very unique and so good.Kids cheese pizza: high quality cheese on a delicious crust. My 9yo loved it. Generous size for $8. He could only eat 3 of the 6 slices. Our server was friendly and polite and checked on us without being intrusive. He was knowledgeable about the menu and answered our questions patiently. I also like that he gave recommendations when asked to choose between dishes vs just saying everything is good.Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience and will be back to try more of the menu.Kid-friendliness: They offer a kids menu and an activity sheet with crayons
We love to go to salmeris and sit at the bar before the dinner rush on the weekends. We go specifically for the calimari! It's delicious! They serve if on a bed of sauces and mix peppers in the dish. The pizza is great! I don't love that they add pesto to everything. So, I typically request that it be left off.
