Ordered salt and pepper BBQ ribs, sweet and sour pineapple chicken and pork fried rice medium heat. Wow what a great meal we absolutely loved these dishes. A bit hotter spicer than expected but no complaints here. Restaurant is clean and tidy with booth and regular seating options. Good timely service. Highly recommend. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Johnnies Chinese Restaurant:
this is one of four restaurants that do chinese and canadian foods I found it to be overpriced for the small portions and the quality was mediocre at best I will not return there as you get better service and food elsewhere in town . Decor is your typical small town it is clean and looks average View all feedback.
I arrived in Fort MacLeod on a Sunday evening and found that Johnnies had just closed. As I stood outside looking at the menu, the cook came to the door and inquired if I was searching for something to eat. Although the restaurant was closed, he offered to whip me up a meal to-go. I ended up ordering the ginger beef with steamed vegetables and rice, which turned out to be quite delicious. I would definitely return for another meal at Johnnies.
This is the best Chinese food I have ever had. The chef is also the owner, so the meals are top-notch. I highly recommend trying the wonton soup with added pork, it's my favorite. I eat there regularly.
I think they extended their closing time just to accommodate us. The food was deliciously prepared, especially the pineapple chicken which was incredibly tender and just melted in your mouth.
Horrible, the service was good but the pitcher of water had gnats in it.
Nice stop while visiting NW Mounted Police museum and Head-Bashed-In Buffalo JumpJust a short distance off highway between Waterton NP and Calgary.
