I always look forward to going to shoney's because it's kinda far from me so I don't get to go often but this time i was a little disappointed. The food on the buffet was kinda cold and wasn't as good as the other times I went. There were also several plates and forks that weren't really clean and for some reason there were 2 employees just standing there in the middle of the food line and when I said excuse me so I could get to the food they were standing in front of they looked at me crazy. With that being said I will probably go back the next time I'm in the area. Hopefully they were just having an off day. They were super busy so maybe that was part of the problem.Kid-friendliness: They have some claw games and little stuffed toys for sale for the kiddos. I played one of the games and won something on my one and only try so that was cool. I gave it to the cashier who said she would give it to her little sister.
Mushrooms tasted ruined, not enough food selection, slow service, dirty dishes, employees goofing off around the food, overly priced....I could go on and on....
Guys, we haven't had a Shoney's in our town in years. We saw this one on our way home from vacation and decided to stop. It did not disappoint. I've always been a fan of their salad bar, and it was as great as I remembered. Thank you guys for maintaining the line!
The buffet breakfast bar was amazing!!! Haven't ate at Shoney's in years!!
Food is ok if you catch it hot.
