Fat Daddy's BBQ - Forsyth
Fat Daddy's BBQ
Description
Fat Daddy’s is a family-run spot known for generous, crowd-pleasing Southern BBQ and comfort fare—from ribs, brisket and pulled pork to catfish and a popular breakfast with house-made sausage. Sides and desserts (sweet potato fries, smoked beans, coleslaw, peanut-butter cheesecake) earn praise, and the owner’s hands-on presence adds warmth. Experiences vary: service can be hit-or-miss, plates sometimes arrive dry or overcooked, and an undisclosed convenience fee has frustrated guests. Worth the drive for BBQ fans who can tolerate occasional inconsistency.

This is a nice family restaurant and the prices are vary by offering. The owner himself is in the dining room helping tthe servers and checking you out to pay your bill. But they have added a convience fee to the bill. They don't tell you that before you order. Seems all the restaurants now in Forsyth are charging you this. I don't like it and won't visit again for this reason.
Had the fish which was ok, they don't have lemon, the tartar sauce was made with miracle whip. The air conditioning register was under the table and blowing directly on me and only had one fin. Needless to say I was freezing. This was probably my fifth time going there and it will probably be my last as it never gets better
Save your time and money by avoiding this restaurant. A few years ago, it was good, but it has steadily declined over the years. Now, it’s overpriced for dry, overcooked food that isn't worth it.
