This is the best dining spot in the city! I can't believe the value for the price you pay. The restaurant looks fantastic with its beautiful hardwood decor. In comparison, other takeout places around the city appear dirty and outdated, and they serve low-quality food. Perhaps they were good back in the '80s, but if you're looking for fresh, clean oil and fish that's not frozen or processed chicken, Fairways is definitely the place to eat.
The restaurant is very nice and clean, offering a wide variety of sweets and drinks that are perfect for a quick snack. The fish and chips are delicious and served in generous portions. It's conveniently located just a short walk from the beach in a peaceful neighborhood.
The staff is friendly, and the seafood is of high quality and well-prepared. While the dining atmosphere could be better, it's a fantastic option for takeaway. They offer a good variety, and the thick, delicious chips are a highlight. I would give it 5 stars if the prices were a bit more affordable.
Snagged some to go to coastal brewing company (3 minutes drive away . fish was excellent. chips good. calamari a hauch thin (hence the 4*. but would do it again, 100%.
The peak season outlines the strain of quality assurance on a classic fish and chips order. Slow turn around times, had the people in line frustrated by the service and after all that waiting, my grilled fish and deep fried items were passed well done Usually not a bad watering hole, just not ideal under high volumes of customers!
