Was Anonym at The Fig Tree Cafe a mag?
Dined here with family whilst staying at hotel. Menu sounded exciting but found that pricing was high but sizing of meals left a bit to be desired. Definitely not a place to take children with no reasonably priced food on menu. Ordered gourmet icecream for desert and was presented with a plastic takeaway container. Unusual. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about The Fig Tree Cafe:
4 people and ordered 2 Butter chicken around $23, 1 pizza and a steak ($40 plus)The Butter chicken was a children size portion. A couple of very small pieces of chicken? The steak dish was a piece of fatty meat served with a small potato bake slice. No other vegetables. Very overpriced for what is dished up The pizza was ok. Overall our experience was very disappointing and we won't be back. Cost was around $130. Probably worth half that.

OMG. I am a greater supporter of the Rydges hotel chain but this was pretty disappointing. The restaurant was full. No big deal. I was told to go to the bar around the corner and have a drink and they would come and get me when a table was free. There wss one couple ahead of me. I waited an hour and no one came so I went back. There were 17 empty tables and I am guessing they didn't write a reminder. They just forget. And worse still no apology after I explained what had happened. Bit different to rydges Fremantle who didnt charge me for a drink as it took more than 5 minutes to deliver. The meal was ok but next morning the breakfast was similar to other reviews. Most of the hot food was cold and the coffee machine just wouldn't make a reasonable coffee. There are lots of great restaurants 10 minutes walk in Manuka which is a far better option. Alas Rydges is normally very good but not today.

Lunch - sorry but ate half and just not to my liking.Dinner - the a la carte menu was most surprising containing sandwiches, burgers, etc. We both managed an entree and main. The service was sloppy and slow. Staff looked like their clothes had not been ironed for a week, walking around tucking themselves in.Can't ever complain about the wine, just how long it took to arrive. Someone was then getting dessert menus for us but that never happened, so I got up and grabbed them myself. A staff member noticed and apologised but was not too worried.Dessert was for my husband a cheese platter. He loves these - a real hog with cheese. Well when it arrived it was woeful. One slice of brie, handful of dreadful muscatels, (no bread), some bikkies and a small jar of honey. He called the chef out and actually asked him was this 'for real'. Conversation blah blah.Breakfast - dreadful, cold, ran out of milk so no cereal, bacon fatty.Stop me please - never again !!

The fig tree cafe was a nice place to dine and the staff were very helpful with good customer service.

I had breakfast at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. The seating areas were lovely. The food was delicious. The coffee was great. I highly recommend this place!

I rate Muse restaurant three stars.
