Unless you actively... read more It's disheartening to note that it feels nearly impossible to receive even basic decency, let alone good customer service, if you are Black. Unless you actively seek assistance, you might as well be invisible, as staff members often bypass Black customers, including groups of us. Right now, I'm sitting inside the restaurant, waiting for a to-go order that I had to fight to place. I had to remind the staff member who finally approached me that I should be served first, rather than the white and Mexican gentlemen in line behind me. I stood at the podium for about five minutes and even rang the service bell after a minute. When I finally got the attention of the staff, the girl looked at me with disbelief and asked, “How can I help you?” From now on, I'll be making the trip to Terrell for my Thai food. I almost forgot to mention that I found a beetle in my daughter's ice cream! In summary, while the food features decent Thai and Taiwanese snacks, the service and atmosphere are incredibly disappointing. What a letdown. UPDATE (20 minutes after writing this): Despite all the poor treatment, I received my order incomplete and packaged in a Staples bag. I tried calling the restaurant, but I was put on hold and ultimately hung up on.

Unfortunately, the Vietnamese noodle sou... read more This was my first visit, and we ordered takeout of chicken noodle soup and Vietnamese noodle soup with steak and tripe. Unfortunately, the Vietnamese noodle soup was lacking a significant amount of broth and had much less meat than the chicken version. Moreover, the tripe was oddly fatty and mushy, even though it’s supposed to be a low-fat, chewy option compared to other types of animal protein. I found it inedible, which left me with just four small pieces of steak. Because of this experience, I can't recommend this place. Perhaps dining in would be better, but the takeout experience shouldn't be so disappointing.

I assured her that I was on my way, even though I knew I would be cutting it close. I thought they might wait a few minutes for a sizable order like mine. Unfortunately, I arrived seven minutes late and found the place dark, locked, and empty. I tried calling and also checked on my wife to see if they had reached out, as the woman had taken her number as a point of contact. No calls at all. It really reflects poorly on their business practices. I understand they need to close for the day, but it seems like a simple courtesy to call and confirm if I was still en route, especially after placing such a significant order. It felt as if my business didn't matter to them at all.
