I had lunch several times during my stay in Forio and was pleasantly surprised. Location positioned on a terrace overlooking the sea (La Chiaia beach) very suggestive and relaxing. Service ok but room for improvement, quite extensive menu with delicious proposals. I recommend spaghetti with tomato sauce that are really excellent and the gnocchetti alla Sorrentina in my opinion among the best in the area.
The restaurant is located in the promenade of Forio d'Ischia. Seating on a rooftop terrace overlooking the sea is always great, but canned mushroom on an otherwise homemade and good pizza reduces overall impression.
In the northern part of a town wildly grew in recent years, as Forio is (probably the worst town of the Ischia island in this respect), this property stands out for its pleasing appearance. It has a B B attached, and stands on a terrace raised above the coastal road; so that, although on the interior side of road, it enables a gorgeous view as well as on Epomeo mountain, which dominates the island on the sea west of Ischia: on clear days (it was our case) the distant island Ventotene is clearly distinguished. The food was great, and the portions were generous. We can testify about the pasta dishes we ordered: paccheri (a type of large macaroni, typical of Naples) with seafood; and linguine with mussels. Being very hungry (we had walked for most of the day), we ordered also a swordfish dish: and one portion was so large that it was enough for both of us. Finally, a glass (shared between us as well) of rucolino , ie a bitter derived from the rucola herb, so typical of the Ischia island. Price: just over fifty Euros, including a liter of water and a pint of wine in bulk. If you add the fiendliness of the staff, it seems to me that any further comment is superfluous
