Great local cafe/restaurant. Excellent and a very friendly service. With good table service. We go there regularly. Mainly eat outside and it's great. It's BYO or licensed. Food is very good and reasonably priced too. In the warmer months it's best to book a table. Also to increase the menu to more dishes as the menu is a bit limited. Pizzas need improving too. They are a bit too basic looking and bland flavour. One... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Luckys & Peps Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria:
The Seafood pizza was very nice, but the Supreme was average. The service was good and the staff friendly. The dining area needs to be cleaned and updated, it looks awful. The doors to the kitchen are filthy and it doesn't look good when you are having dinner there. View all feedback.
The carrots and potatoes were undercooked and cold in the center. There wasn't much veal, mostly just sauce. The restaurant was preoccupied with fulfilling takeout pizza orders, so there was a bit of a wait. The young wait staff did their best, but overall, I would not recommend this place.
Our party of four had to wait 90 minutes for our main dishes, which arrived at different times. The bruschetta we ordered was barely toasted, dry, and mostly consisted of onions with no herbs. The veal dishes were small in portion size, and the sauces were just average. Two of the main desserts listed on the menu were unavailable, and the plastic tablecloth was ripped and torn. We were seated at a table in the back corner on the far left. The staff, who appeared young and inexperienced, seemed more focused on preparing take-out orders. We had to remind them twice to bring us the beer we had ordered and to check on the status of our food. Overall, this restaurant is poorly managed.
It seemed like the restaurant prioritized delivery orders over the patrons dining in. Additionally, the timing of the meals was off, as those who ordered pizza had to wait 10 minutes after the other main meals had arrived.
My go to place when I want Italian cuisine. I've never had any bad meals or desserts. Not tried the pizzas. However, the pizzas for pick ups are non stop. It's a busy restaurant, which for me is a good sign. They offer take away, which is great. You can order online or by phone. The food is more than ample. The vegies are al dente and packed separately for take away meals. Yum! From the menu there is a good selection of meals. Staff are efficient and friendly.
Been coming here for a decade and whilst it may not be a trendy wood fired joint I think their pizzas are better. I always start with their Garlic Prawns, sizzling away in their iron pot and follow that with a pizza. Lovely thin but firm base and the right amount of toppings. Only two things stop them getting five stars. They seem these days to always have new and not overly trained waiters. They are friendly and smiling but not particularly efficient. And they never provide bread with the Garlic Prawns, something that should be a gimme. I know they've expanded their menu to become more of a full-on Italian restaurant but sadly (for them) their pizzas are too good for me to try anything new.
