I was welcomed by the staff as if I was important to them. A pleasing aspect was that the waiter knew about their wines- not always the case in some restaurants... read more I was welcomed by the staff as if I was important to them. A pleasing aspect was that the waiter knew about their wines- not always the case in some restaurants. The service throughout was attentive but not overbearing. Now, the food. An excellent chicken liver pate accompanied by a salad that had a perfect dressing was followed by a fillet steak cooked exactly as per my request. Finished with a glass of port to cap off a most pleasant evening.

My chicken was burnt to a crisp on the bacon outside. I have never had a problem before but we shall not be retuning in a hurry

I've never had a problem, but we're not going to rush

Decor a bit bland and basic throughout the bar and restaurant but the service was genuinely friendly and food was a fab surprise. The bar style menu belies the great food within. We had rib eye steaks and venison Wellington style and it got served to a 'wow ' factor. The food presentation and food was on par with more upmarket restaurants, and price competitive. Will go again and recommend. Keep it up. N Reindl
