Small Batch Barbecue
4.4 / 5 (352 reviews)

Description

Small Batch Barbeque serves standout smoked meats—tender brisket, flavorful smoked turkey, burnt ends and craveable fried okra—complemented by house sauces like sriracha mayo. The cozy, vibrant spot is welcoming, easy to find and offers solid takeout/delivery. While many hail it as a local hidden gem, quality can be uneven: occasional dry ribs, hit-or-miss sides (sour coleslaw, overcooked beans), and modest portions that may make prices feel high. Still, meat lovers and families often return for the bold BBQ flavors.

My family has been meaning to try this place for a while. We ordered takeout tonight for the first time it was truly great. Two in our household don't eat beef or pork, but they loved the smoked turkey. The brisket was tender and full of flavor on its own (although we all enjoyed the sauce too). Definitely our new go to for BBQ. (edited to add a written review)

The worse bbq ive ever had. I will never eat from here again. The ribs where nasty as hell. The waffle fries were disgustingly gross. I wasted a few bucks here, never again. Do not eat here people.you will be mad.

A little research and looking for a place I had never had food from before paid off. Ordered a package with ribs, brisket, pulled pork, wings, beans and waffle fries from here. Absolutely zero leftovers! I tried everything mentioned above and I had seconds (or thirds, if there was still some) from everything. Highly recommended. Also, I ordered sriracha mayo. It was really good with all the meats, particularly (in my opinion) with the wings.

I am a BBQ fanatic, Traveled the US and have been to most the go to Q spots in N.C, S.C. Texas St Louis, Memphis and Kansas City my personal favorite Fiorellas Jack jack in KC). Small Batch a hidden gem in Forest Park/ Chicago Area. Fried Okra would hold its own in South Carolina, brisket, pork, ribs are all go to dishes. If you cant go to Texas, SC, KC, etc. this spot will satisfy you and make you happy!!!!!. If you have been to Green Street meats, a good spot, this place is better!!!!!

The food was tasty, but the portion sizes were quite small. I didn't realize that the charming restaurant name was a hint about the size of the meals you'd be receiving. Paying $50 for two tiny dishes feels like a bit of a scam.
