Despite the quirky atmosphere, the staff and patrons are friendly and welcoming. The parking lot is consistently busy, which speaks volumes about its popularity. While the food tends to be average, the weekend pit beef comes highly recommended. Be aware that the smell of cigarette smoke lingers, as smoking is allowed. The restroom is functional, at least.

Stopped in Gene's for lunch. Chili was great, the fries crispy and not greasy, great atmosphere and friendly attentive staff. Fair priced meal and draft beer. Repeat visits for sure! View all feedback.

Food has always been excellent and prices are very reasonable. Servers are polite. Restrooms need to be remodeled.
