Description

Kamaʻaina-style Hawaiian spot in Forest Grove serves generous, flavorful plates—spam musubi, poke, kalbi, loco moco, shave ice and lilikoi cheesecake—inside a clean, modern, aloha-themed dining room with friendly servers and free street parking. Diners praise portions, value and gluten/dairy-free options, though consistency can lag: some meats arrive dry, coconut shrimp was undercooked, poke oversauced and a shave ice arrived melted. Under new management with generally good service, it’s a neighborhood gem worth trying for standout items despite occasional missteps.

I really wanted to enjoy the food. We have dined here in the past but some yrs ago. Last night we looked forward to what we remembered and found ourselves disappointed. I ordered the Korean chicken and it was very dry, I was looking for dressing on my salad so I could dip the chicken in to make it less dry. My daughter ordered the poke sample platter and it looked like a hot mess...so much sauce was used on each fish she couldn't tell what fish was what any more. My husband's plate again was good but dry. Then on the flip side my daughter ordered the shaved ice for dessert and it came to the table already drinkable, I kid you not, no spoon needed! We soooo wanted this to be good, but just wasn't.

We popped in and we're warmly welcomed by our server Jessica. She was so welcoming and fun to talk to! And the food was out of this world good! Tried the grilled salmon plate and the ponzu mahi omg so fresh and delicious! Definitely going back to continue the menu tour Dietary restrictions: I have a pretty restricted diet and must eat clean food, can be a challenge when dining out plenty of gluten free, dairy free options Service: Dine in
