My friends and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. 1) We tried to explain to the waitress that we wanted to split an appetizer between the three of... read more My friends and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. 1) We tried to explain to the waitress that we wanted to split an appetizer between the three of us and she basically said "Well why would you do that when one of you could just pay for it and the rest could pay you back later?". I don't think this request was out of the ordinary, and I definitely don't think as a server she should be arguing with us about it. Eventually we got her to split them. Still not sure what her initial problem was. 2) The food was really bad. We all got some kind of main with fries as a side and each one of us was given a different amount of fries which I found odd. There isn't much more I can comment on. It was simply poor quality food. 3) We waited for a long time for the waitress to come back after she dropped us off with our checks and she never did. We went to the front of the restaurant and found no one in sight. Finally she came out and we asked her where we were supposed to go to pay and she was very rude and gave us a confusing answer about how we somehow did the wrong thing by coming to the front of the restaurant. The restaurant was literally empty aside from us so I'm not sure why we received such slow service.4) It was cash-only which is fine, but they literally took 20 minutes trying to get us our change because they didn't have enough of the right coins. If you're going to be a cash-only restaurant you should at least have change to give your customers. The man that gave us our change basically shoved it at us too. 5) This is the best part. None of us tipped as we had a completely terrible experience. As we were leaving the restaurant, a man that worked there yelled at us from the restaurant "You didn't want to tip your waitress eh?" which I found completely inappropriate and shockingly rude. We all would have tipped if it had just been sub-par but it was truly terrible and they did not deserve a tip. I can't believe he yelled at us instead of asking what the problem was. Totally inappropriate. Will never go back to this place! It has bad food, bad service, and shockingly rude workers!

Debit machines have a cost, but it's not that much. The cheapness is a turn off. Also I got the "lightly" battered fish & chips. There was way more batter then fish. Not lightly battered at all.

The place seemed... read more We stopped by as a larger group halfway though our day at the beach. Our waitstaff wasn't unfriendly, but she certainly wasn't friendly either. The place seemed to have some character, but it was squashed out by the high price of low quality food. Nobody in our group of 8 was happy with their meal, the soft drinks came flat, and the servings were almost child sized for a few of us. Really low quality food that could be been made at home easy, at least we weren't waiting long for it. Turned out our little plastic cups of flat pop were 2.50 each (there weren't any prices for some of the menu), and when we told her they were flat, she said no, they weren't flat it just seemed that way because it was hot outside today. Huh? Maybe if you know the staff or you're a local, you'll think it's a cute place- but don't expect much if you're stopping through as a tourist. It really put a damper on the day.
