Ash's Restaurant and Bar - Forest

The restaurant, now known as Barking Forest, has undergone some interior changes which look impressive. The menu has also been updated to offer good quality pub food. It seems less like a diner now and more like a pub, with slightly higher prices but improved food quality. We have not yet tried the breakfast menu, but the owners appear to be pleasant individuals.

Went for breakfast , place is Clean ,service good, but the food ,the hash browns were heated reheated more then once , sausage were the same ,dried up and wrinkly

I enjoyed my meal at this cozy restaurant, the food was excellent and the service was top-notch.

Brightly greeted at the proferred open door by the new owner!! We had no idea the establishment had changed ownership. We are not residents of Forest so must have missed this info.Our waitress was exceptional in her attentions and quality of service.The kitchen plated an appetizing breakfast for each of us that were as wonderful to eat as to see.As this was a first dine in experience since Covid restrictions came into force, it was a most rewarding experience!!Restaurant was spotlessly clean. All Covid protocols appeared to be endorsedie.....social distancing...tables and chairs available but not on prime restaurant floor space. Collapsed and not currently in use.Last but not least...as meal was approximately three quarters finished, new owner...sorry ..do not remember his name....appeared at our table and enquired about all services we experienced .Just so rare to be out due to Covid.Truly makes me hungry to return.Enjoy everyone!!!Oh....by far the BEST coffee on the road!Truly a superior quality blend. As a coffee hound I fully endorse taking the time for the proffered second cup!! ?
