Here you will find the menu of Rookie's in Forest. At the moment, there are 27 menus and drinks on the list.

Nestled near a landfill, this rustic ice cream shop has garnered mixed reviews from visitors. While some rave about its rich, creamy ice cream and delightful cookie sandwiches—particularly praising the gluten-free and vegan options—others find the experience lacking. Complaints about mediocre flavors, hard cookies, and poor customer service overshadow the positive aspects. Despite its charming outdoor seating and vibrant atmosphere, inconsistency in delivery quality and staff interactions might deter future visits. While some customers may leave satisfied, the overall sentiment suggests that improvement is needed to elevate the experience to match the initial appeal.

Was User at Rookie's a mag?
The staff here is incredibly friendly! Their smiles truly make a difference. They have the best cookies around town, and I absolutely love how they've revitalized the classic "milk cookies." The youngsters working here are fantastic! View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Rookie's:
After some hesitation, they finally gave me a bag, but the employee remarked, "We shouldn’t be giving these out." I asked why, especially since I was already given the bag. As I tried to be polite and wished them a nice night, the staff member said nothing in return and gave me a forced smile. This was my first visit, and I definitely won't be returning. I left with an extremely negative impression of this business... View all feedback.

I often drive by this place and noticed it gets busy at times, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered through DoorDash, and for the $30 I spent, it was definitely just mediocre. The ice cream does have a nice creamy texture, but beyond that, nothing stood out. The cookies used for the ice cream sandwiches were a bit hard. I had four items delivered, and I just finished a $5.50 scoop of strawberry ice cream. While there were some seeds, there were no actual chunks of strawberry, which was quite strange. My daughter also had...

Great ice cream! Great people! Great location! Great hours! I'm lactose intolerant when it comes to processed diary, personally, but I can eat Rookie's with no problem. I think because they get their milk from Homestead Creamery, a good (and local! farm/source. They don't always have vegan/non-diary ice cream, from my experience, although they've made a lot of new changes, so maybe they do have it consistently now. But either way, their ice cream is delicious and comes

I've had ice cream sandwiches, but you've never had TRUE Ice cream sandwiches until you come here! The theme of the little trailer is also very trendy. Do note that if college is in session, the lines get pretty long, so be sure to come early!

So I drive past very often and noticed lines at some times, so I thought, let's try it. Ordered through doordash. Well, for the $30 I paid for it, it was definitely mediocre at best. The ice cream has a great creamy texture. Outside of that, nothingremarkable. The cookies are a bit hard for ice cream sandwiches. I had 4 items delivered. Just finished my $5.50 scoop ofstrawberry ice cream. While I got seeds, I got no actual bits of strawberry. Very odd. My daughter had vanilla, which I alsotried. Again, just very basic honestly Walmart ice cream would be better. Maybe it's better in person, the doordash menu is verylimited. I may try it in person some day, but as of now, I'll go to coldstone for my ice cream fix. Or Mr. Goodies. Sub partreats at best here. MayLynns is still on my list to try.

It's one of my favorite places to go for an occasional special treat with friends or just by myselfafter work to chill and relax and treat myself. Rookie's never fails to deliver the best spot for a spontaneous late nightsummer adventure with friends either, since they are open late (11 or 11:30 I think . During the warm summer months I could notwait until the end of the week when I got paid on Friday and Rookie's was open to go and treat myself. God bless this place!Rookie's has become very dear to my heart with many fond memories having been made here.? (Seen on the pictures is their lemonice cream and sugar cookie
