But when you put a big "tripadvisor recommended" sticker on your entrance door it commits. Trip- implies "travelling, tourism". And not even the French, in 2017, can expect all tourist to be french speaking? They're situated less than 5 minutes from the german border, and not even a german menu to get. The waitress was polite and friendly enough, but no english at all. English is already my 2nd language, but luckily I do speak a little german so we managed to order without using the menu. I ordered a medium beef, it turned out to be medium rare and borderline cold inside. I ate less than a third before I had to give up. My wife tried to explain to the waitress in english (she wanted to complain while I was more passive) and the beef was cut in half blood red open to see. But no follow up from the waitress. Maybe because of language barrier.

It is prepared in house and is very good with very good service. We were there during an eightieth birthday party and quickly became part of the party. We had a very good time and were never made to feel at a loss. American Hubby had no problems.
