St. Ambroeus is 20 steps from the bottom of the main lift up the mountain. Run by friendly folks. Great pizza. On weekends there is a mountain buffet downstairs. Good meats and salads. We have eaten here at least 30 times in the last six years, nearly every day for lunch while skiiing. View all feedback.
What luirob doesn't like about Sant Ambreus:
A terrible food quality, we had 4 different dishes and we did not like any of them. Only the fresh fruit with ice cream was of acceptable quality. Service slow and pretty poor. View all feedback.
We stayed at the Hotel Adler which is joined to this restaurant, and on the first night we arrived it made sense to try this restaurant first. This was a last minute trip so our Italian was pretty much non existant and we had to rely on google translate to make our first order. From that point on, the staff were extremely kind and spoke to us in English, although we tried our best to use Italian where we could. The atmosphere was very warm and cosy and exactly the sort of place you want to be after a cold day on the slopes. The food was amazing expecially the home made pizzas. Looking around the rest of the resort, none of the other restaurants looked anywhere near as welcoming, and most of them were empty, whereas this restaurant was pleasantly busy. Being located at the base of the slopes and 10 yards from the chair lift, it is also perfect for a quick coffee and panini between runs. Highly recommend this restaurant. Not too expensive with a great atmosphere, lovely hosts, and gorgeous food. Huge thank you to the staff for being so welcoming and accommodating.

We loved the pizza’s during lunch. Especially the ones with Buffalo mozzarella: Good atmosphere and excellent service. A nice place to warm up after skiing on the Foppolo piste. We would love to come back next year!
