I went to the restaurant and waited for 5 minutes to be seated, but nobody acknowledged me. They seemed a bit busy, yet one person was just standing by the counter, looking at me without saying a word. After another 5 minutes, I chose to sit in an empty booth, only to be told I couldn't sit there because it's reserved for two or more guests. Typical diner breakfast with excellent food. But the main reason for my 5-star rating is service. This place is a miracle of efficiency. Our waiter Jose never stopped moving. Food was delivered hot almost directly from the grill before I had half a cup of coffee. If I had lived in the area, it would be a regular stop.

This genuine lunch counter and diner transported me back in time, as if I had stepped 50 years into the past. While traveling along the Van Wyck Expressway, I decided to stop here for a meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a Reuben sandwich, a turkey club, split pea soup, and chicken and waffles—everything was fantastic!
One of my favorite dining spots is known for its burgers, pancakes, and waffles. The staff is always welcoming, and the coffee is consistently superb.
