Mela's Cafe And - FLUSHING

Years ago, this place was only an ordinary diner, with terrible food, then closed. Not long after something new was opened, exactly the same on the inside, and outside, but the food was definitely different. Not only do you get this hot Latin employee taste, but the food, so delicious, and servings are great. I love it when you are respected and appreciated as a customer, and they are never stingy. That was years ago, but I moved on. I have tried many Latin places, but no comparison to this place, so I have never stopped thinking about this place when I have ever believed a Latin food. I am white, but I am not a foreigner for international cuisine, but when it comes to Latin cuisine, dominican is the king, taste beats them all. Long story short, yesterday 10/25/2016 I coveted Latin food, there is a Colombian restaurant near my house, but sucking her food, portions are tiny, and she invites arm and leg. It also needs to taste Dominican pernil, perhaps it can stop braiding around its dry, over boiled and under seasoned pernil. Back to my review: , this place has changed a lot, renovation, beautiful work, love the food bar, OMG I love its portions. I paid so much for it. I eat pernil when I write that. I'm such a fat boy in my heart. The food is not the only thing that is kept hot there when you know what I mean, smiles go very far. Most companies usually start well and then just go with service they offer, but this place was great to start with and keeps on getting better.

I live in Brooklyn, but I walked on a whim because I was in the neighborhood this morning. It was fantastic. Nice place, nice people FANTASTIC food. I tried the #mangu, the Plantain mash, with eggs, salami and queso. Fried red paprika on top. Came with coffee, very reasonable price. You want to go back and eat more. But now I'm still full!

I visited melas restaurant to celebrate my mother's birthday!!! We were a family table of 7. Customer service was excellent! And the food was great! I would definitely go there to eat again, it was a cozy atmosphere and the food there was amazing. I can't wait to go back and eat again.

Ive lived in the neighborhood my whole life and out of all the restaurants that have been before Melas cafe I must say Melas is the best and I hope they stay. I love it there. Great food , Great service. They are very friendly and make their customers feel like their part of the family.
