The staff is friendly and provides good service at this restaurant. The prices for the food are a bit high, but overall it is a good experience with a good selection and tasty food. I recommend the Kalbi over the ribeye and the scallion pancake. The spicy tofu soup and seafood noodle soup are also must-try dishes. However, the kimchi as an appetizer was disappointing and lacked variety. I would definitely return, especially with a big group. The restaurant is also kid-friendly.

I used to travel without eating Korean food a few years ago, but maybe it's my age now, because I couldn't muster the courage to eat in Manhattan. As I wandered through Korea Town, I found a famous restaurant and I was very satisfied. The meat was tender and not too greasy, and there was a lot of it for the price. I was surprised at the price in dollars, but the servers were friendly, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was authentic and delicious. I highly recommend it. I love the galbi, bulgogi, and galbitang. I might not be able to eat Korean BBQ in Korea because it's more expensive there.

Though they were super busy on this very first day of the year. The servers did their best to provide such a welcoming experience for us. The food is great too.

Seafood pancake was the best I've ever had. The side dishes were delicious. The galbi meat was 48 bucks, but the portion was not huge : For 48.00, I expected a good portion....it was about 15 small pieces...Overall, a good experience will surely go back...

You can’t go wrong with Korean BBQ at Jongro. The galbi, japchae, army stew, soondubu, and all the classic dishes are outstanding. Pair them with a beer or soju and some friends for a guaranteed great experience!

Experience at Jongro offers an authentic Korean BBQ experience with standout dishes like galbi and soondubu. The staff is friendly and the service is generally good, despite some minor delays. While prices are on the higher side, the quality of ingredients justifies the cost. The ambiance is intimate, with each table equipped with a gas stove for grilling. Highlights include the delicious marinated meats and sides that complement the main dishes well. Some minor drawbacks include a lackluster kimchi appetizer and occasional busyness leading to longer wait times. Overall, a great spot for a tasty Korean BBQ meal with friends and family.

We made a reservation for our party of 6. The service was good, although slightly delayed during the grilling process. The side dishes were fantastic. The marinated meats were absolutely delicious—I highly recommend them! And, of course, enjoying some refreshing soju added to the overall experience.

Went in on Saturday evening! We were on a wait for about 15 mins. The service was great and fast. Food is good and very reasonable as well. Will definitely go back.

My husband, 15 month old and I have been here twice already and have had pretty great experiences so far! The food is delicious. The amount of sides you get pairs really well with the meats. The first time we went, it was busy and we were seated at the back next by the dishes and door that was cracked open. The music is also loud and we were under one of the speakers. So that was a bit unpleasant, especially with a toddler. But the service was good and efficient with the cooking. The second time we went was on my birthday and they did the cute happy birthday song for me. It wasn’t busy and we didn’t have to wait like the first time. A much better experience. Food was delicious as always!Just don’t go there when it’s busy or at least call ahead!

Excellent hideaway restaurant discretely located on the 2nd floor. Would have completely missed this location if I weren't specifically looking for it. Nicely decorated and fairly intimate. Each table has its own gas stove/hot stone baking area for meats and other goods. Excellent BBQ. Had Korean short ribs. Excellent

Jongro BBQ is an excellent Korean BBQ spot. The meat is outstanding—I tried the ribeye, pork belly, and marinated kalbi. I’ll definitely be returning!

The japchae was perfect—10/10. It featured high-quality vegetables, not the usual cheap ones, including great mushrooms like oyster and wood ear. Absolutely delicious, generous portion, and very satisfying. The appetizers were fantastic too, with more fresh veggies and an excellent execution of the egg dishes!

I visited this restaurant for some Korean BBQ with a friend, and the meat quality was decent. However, it took quite a while for the grill to be set up, and we noticed a metal piece was accidentally dropped at our table during the switch (the table next to us had the same issue, so just be cautious about that). The staff was friendly, but be prepared to spend some time here and leave smelling like BBQ. Even during dinner time, the wait was 25 minutes, despite the presence of empty tables. Make sure to put your name on the list as soon as you arrive!

The kalbi beef was fantastic, and the pork belly was truly amazing. I have to commend the servers; they must smell like BBQ every day after work. Make sure to tip them generously!

I visited this location for the first time to celebrate my birthday, and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots for Korean BBQ. While it’s not an all-you-can-eat option, the food is definitely worth the price. Our waiter was very friendly and had a great sense of humor, impressively managing the cooking times for our group of 12-14 people.
