This place is right near my school, which is a high school. This means that so much kids are there, in the mornings, afternoons and on half days. I love it here and this place is very nice. But there is limited seating. The bagels have a low price and they are great. They have other food besides bagels. Overall, it is a wonderful place. View all feedback.
What Kenneth Jordan doesn't like about Ace Bagel Cafe Inc.:
Walked in, place was kind of dark and dingy, large bowls of only chicken salad, and tuna in the dark refrigerated case. So unappealing, Why would this place get four stars? View all feedback.

Love their bagels and sandwiches! The staff is also very friendly. Definitely recommend!

On a Friday morning, the place looks really sketched, no bagels on the display, the refrigerator looked empty. I wouldn't eat here.
I hadn't been around this area in a bit. But I'm very familiar with it having gone to school at Queens College. I was taken in by how NY Presbyterian has expanded from where it originally started. They have spread through main st and seem to have bought up houses and turned them into medical offices. Same thing has happened in Astoria I think, where Kaufman studios has expanded and bought real estate for their shoots or to house actors. I can only imagine how much the rent will be going up as a result. How can any of us compete with a hospital or movie studio? But as the hospital expands it means more jobs, as evidenced by the number of people I saw in scrubs or in nurses outfits, before 7am. This will in turn give rise to more businesses like this one, a small breakfast place. The bagels seemed freshly made. There are two tables for two, so it isnt a sit in place per se. My sausage and egg took a min but that reassured me that it was being made fresh. My black coffee was exactly what I expected. So no complaints. For less than six bucks, it was a very reasonable breakfast that I couldnt even finish since the roll was so packed. There is always the question of consistency for me if I came here everyday, would the food always be of this quality? But based on this visit, if you're looking for a hot breakfast in the area, cant go wrong here.
